It's International Children's Book Day and Hans Christian Andersen's Birthday!

April 2nd is International Children's Book Day - a day to celebrate books and reading!

April 2nd is also Hans Christian Andersen's birthday. Andersen was born in 1725. He lived in Denmark, but his fairy tales are known all around the world. Some of his most famous stories are The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Princess and the Pea, and The Nightingale.

If you want to read these stories on International Children's Book Day (or any day), you can get free eBooks by Hans Christian Andersen from Project Gutenberg!
