E. B. White was born in Mount Vernon, New York on July 11, 1899. He is best known for his books
Stuart Little (1945),
Charlotte's Web (1952), and
The Trumpet of the Swan (1970). All of these books have been made into movies, but I really recommend reading the books first. They were some of my favorites when I was a kid!
